The Heart is A Very Resilient Muscle

One of the most interesting things about the human heart is that it beats as much as three or more times longer than the heart of any other mammals. Over a 75-year lifespan, the heart beats an extra 2076 million times more and pumps more than 38,304,947.5919 extra gallons of blood. With this in mind, it’s fairly easy to understand why diseases of the heart are common even if you do treat your heart with TLC. And, if you don’t, you can pretty much expect heart disease to be rampant and responsible for many deaths. Even so, the quote from Woody Allen certainly applies: “The heart is a very, very resilient little muscle.”

Taking care of the human heart is really not all that difficult. Yet so many people simply do not want to be bothered with making the lifestyle changes required to have a healthy heart. Basically, it’s about what you put in your mouth and how much you move your body that determines your heart health. Controlling weight through healthy eating and exercise is number one on the list. Learning how to control stress is also important. Sadly, most Americans have no idea how many exciting and effective treatments have been developed and made readily available over the past few dozen years…outside the usual care approaches.

Americans are notorious for wanting a pill to fix whatever ails befall them. There are pills for blood pressure, pills for cholesterol, even more. If a pill doesn’t fix it, then they think surgery will. About 500,000 open-heart surgeries are performed in the U.S. each year. Nonetheless, the following statistics are a fact:

In the next 30 minutes or so:

35 Americans will die from heart disease – whether they know they have heart disease or not.

42 people will suffer a heart attack.2

31 of those will be experiencing a first heart attack.2

12 will be experiencing their feared second or later heart attack.2

21 people will die from their heart attacks.

Remember and share this critical observation: “You can’t drug yourself out of a disease you ate yourself into.”

Far too many people suffer pain and ill health without knowing exactly the true source and underlying cause of their pain. For those with diagnosed heart disease who take pills yet still feel bad, you may not know that there are many more – and very powerful – things you can do under the guidance of a doctor who practices integrative medicine that does not depend on prescription drugs and surgeries, which very often interfere with the body’s own attempts to heal and repair naturally. The heart is a resilient muscle and when treated “right” could go on beating for you beyond what you thought possible. Give our office a call today if you suspect you could have heart disease or if you have diagnosed with heart disease and are not quite on board with the prescribed method of dealing with it. Here’s an encouraging hint: we have perfected many powerful strategies to reduce your risks of developing earlier heart and circulation problems. We will get to the root of the issue.
